Throw toys are not such a great success with our dogs.  Truth be told, I don’t think they (the dogs) are all that bright.  Oh, they love for you to throw a toy for them.  They just don’t get the bringing it back part.  "Fetch" is not in their vocabulary

So you can imagine our joy when we spotted this toy with a big head that pulls away from the body and then retracts.  WHOOHOO!  We could throw the toy a few feet away and when our darlings latched on to it we could reel them in.

Notsomuch.

The retractable cord is about 4 inches long.  I just don’t see the point.

The bottom half of the toy is an open body whose hard rubber has an uncomfortable edge.  The dogs played around with it for about 30 seconds.  They haven’t touched it since.
